Ohioans for Clean Energy is supporting legislation that will help preserve our state’s two nuclear plants. Senate Bill 128 and House Bill 381 will keep Ohio’s power plants open, protecting thousands of good jobs and $500 million in annual economic impact.

Here are some of the things you should tell your elected officials when you call them:

Nuclear plants churn out electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week and produce zero carbon emissions.
Davis-Besse Power Station in Oak Harbor, and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, provide 11 percent of the electricity used in Ohio – enough to power more than 2.8 million homes.
They have an onsite fuel supply that doesn’t require a transportation network for daily fuel delivery.
But we need your help to help protect our nuclear energy plants.
Please support legislation this year to help enact Senate Bill 128 and House Bill 178.
